Craig Cheramie, CPA graduated from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA in 1984 with a degree in accounting and a minor in computer science. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Personal Financial Specialist. Craig is a member of the Financial Planning Association/Greater New Orleans Chapter and a member of the Louisiana Society of CPA's Financial and Estate Planning committee. Prior to coming over to Cambridge Investment Research, he was an independent investment representative with Avantax since 1991 and has been consistently one of their top-producing representatives in the country and in the state of Louisiana. Craig received the Gold Medal Award from "Accounting Today" for his achievement in client service in 2000. Prior to his affiliation with Avantax, Craig spent two years working as an associate of Hebert and Company, a "Registered Investment Advisory" firm and five years as an audit senior accountant with both Duplantier, Hrapmann, Hogan & Maher and Deloitte & Touche performing bank and savings and loan audits. Craig specializes in working with early retirees, qualified funds and company retirement plans. He attends 50+ hours of continuing education each year in the areas of tax, investments*, insurance and financial planning*.
